Heart-Forward is collaborating with Motherful, a soulful, grassroots collective founded by single mothers for single mothers in Columbus, Ohio. About us…
Heart-Forward
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit
Heart-Forward had its humble beginnings in the depths of the Amazon jungle, emerging in October of 2022. It all began when Jade Chen, from Mud Lotus Life, organized a tranquil retreat named Sanctuary, with the assistance of Monica Nagy, who had just embarked on her retirement journey. The quaint Eco Lodge nestled in the village of Santa Maria de Fatima, unaccustomed to hosting westerners, caught the attention of the attendees. Witnessing the earnest desire of the lodge's new owners to enhance their premises, Jade and the participants rallied together to raise funds for the lodge's improvement. It was during these heartwarming moments that Jade first broached the notion of establishing a nonprofit organization with Monica, aiming to extend support to individuals akin to them. Furthermore, the envisioned nonprofit sought to furnish resources, ensuring that people from all walks of life could revel in retreats such as this, irrespective of their financial circumstances. Julie Baldia, another participant on the verge of her own retirement, swiftly joined the board, and alongside Monica, dedicated several months to meticulously complete the necessary paperwork, thus breathing life into Heart-Forward. Heart-Forward was approved on August 14, 2023 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
The Board of Directors consists of Monica, Julie & Jade.
We are excited for the opportunity to bring this dream to life.
